Your mission

• Establishment of affinity selection mass spectrometry (ASMS) and other MS-based high throughput screening technologies.
• Implementation of automated data handling and data analysis workflows.
• Development of end-to-end validated workflows for ASMS-based hit identification and confirmation in close collaboration with our high-throughput screening (HTS) group for early drug discovery projects.
• Ensuring the operational availability and the technical development of the ASMS unit: continuous optimization of process workflows, scientific and technical troubleshooting of equipment, as well as technical training of colleagues. 
• Contribution to multidisciplinary teams with own scientific expertise to achieve corporate and customer goals of challenging drug discovery projects.
• In-depth data analysis, interpretation and reporting, as well as presentation of the scientific results. Confident communication of the content to customers, business partners and colleagues.
  
  
  

Your profile

• PhD or Master‘s degree with a min. of 5 years of work experience in the field of (bio)-analytical chemistry or related with recent and extensive research laboratory experience. Practical work experience in the pharmaceutical industry would be a plus.
• Extended knowledge in bioinformatics data evaluation and scripting.
• Extensive experience in LC-MS (method development, practical implementation and data evaluation). Particular in the context of small molecules, high throughput and automated workflows.
• Solid understanding of data analysis principles as applied to large data sets and familiarity with data analysis software packages with particular focus on small molecule MS analysis.
• Skilled in data organisation and downstream reporting of MS data to other disciplines e.g., medicinal chemistry, pharmacology.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and team working skills.
