Legal Counsel (gn)

Your mission

Supporting the General Counsel in the legal department with the analysis and evaluation of legal matters, as well as the preparation of decision-making templates and recommendations for the executive management
Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts as well as further developing contract management for the drug discovery service business
Developing and implementing compliance policies and legal requirements, particularly in the areas of contract law, intellectual property (IP), and labor law
Independently managing and administering standard contracts (CDA, MSA), including adapting and maintaining contract templates
Executing and overseeing legal projects, especially in the areas of digitalization and process optimization
Close collaboration with internal departments to ensure legal compliance and risk minimization

Your profile

Fully qualified lawyer (gn) in Germany with successfully completed First and Second State Examinations in Law
At least 3 years of professional experience in a law firm or the legal department of a company
Strong expertise in contract law, intellectual property law (IP), and international business law
Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
Analytical thinking and a structured working approach
High level of responsibility, results-oriented working style, and strong team player
Experience in the life sciences industry
Knowledge and interest in compliance management
Additional qualification in Anglo-American law or international legal experience

Ihre Aufgaben

Unterstützung des General Counsel in der Rechtsabteilung bei der Analyse und Bewertung juristischer Sachverhalte sowie der Erarbeitung von Entscheidungsvorlagen und Handlungsempfehlungen für die Geschäftsführung
Prüfung, Erstellung und Verhandlung von Verträgen sowie Weiterentwicklung des Vertragsmanagements für das Drug Discovery-Dienstleistungsgeschäft
Entwicklung und Umsetzung von Compliance-Richtlinien sowie rechtlichen Vorgaben, insbesondere in den Bereichen Vertragsrecht, IP und Arbeitsrecht
Eigenverantwortliche Betreuung und Verwaltung von Standardverträgen (CDA, MSA) sowie Anpassung und Pflege von Vertragsvorlagen
Durchführung und Begleitung juristischer Projekte, insbesondere im Bereich Digitalisierung und Prozessoptimierung
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit internen Fachabteilungen zur Sicherstellung der rechtlichen Compliance und Risikominimierung

Ihr Profil

Volljurist (gn) in Deutschland mit erfolgreich abgeschlossenem 1. und 2. Juristischen Staatsexamen
Mindestens 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung in einer Kanzlei oder Rechtsabteilung eines Unternehmens
Fundierte Kenntnisse im Vertragsrecht, IP-Recht und internationalen Wirtschaftsrecht
Verhandlungssicheres Englisch in Wort und Schrift
Analytisches Denkvermögen und strukturierte Arbeitsweise
Hohe Eigenverantwortung, ergebnisorientiertes Arbeiten und Teamfähigkeit
Erfahrung in der Life Science-Industrie
Kenntnisse und Interesse an Compliance Management
Zusatzqualifikation im anglo-amerikanischen Recht oder juristische Auslandserfahrung
